I look to the heavens, too cloudy for star guidance ...
a travellers plight.
The car tyres are squealing
as they race off into the night.

Silent Night? Not likely!

The ta-ta’s are sleeping
in their leafy hides.
The locals are yelling …
sounds like they have imbibed.

The dogs, they are barking
disturbed from their sleep
in response to the yelling.
Can anyone sleep?

Tis the week before Christmas
a hot steamy night.
Not a gecko is clicking
No squeaking of mice.
